Abbotsford, BC – Western Canada’s largest woodworking machinery and supply show opens today at TRADEX in Abbotsford, BC. Taking place today and tomorrow from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm, Canada Woodworking WEST will welcome thousands of secondary woodworkers from British Columbia and Alberta.

The response to this year’s event – the show’s second edition – has been exciting. “We’ve seen a 50%  increase in visitors pre-registering for the show,” said Show Manager Mike Neeb. “We’re anticipating strong crowds and a great Canada Woodworking WEST 2017!”

At the show, hundreds of exhibitors will place their sales and technical staff directly in front of Western Canada’s commercial and residential cabinet manufacturers and installers, commercial and home furniture manufacturers, architectural woodworkers, millworkers, molding, door and stair manufacturers, and more. An event on the rise, the 2017 edition includes the addition of some of North America’s largest and most respected industry manufacturers and distributors.

Seminars will take place on both days of the show and will be offered free of charge to show visitors. Topics range from robotics in wood milling applications, to testing and certification, cost savings from productivity improvements and skills development training. Canada Woodworking West has once again been endorsed by regional industry leaders, including UBC – Centre for Advanced Wood Processing, the Canadian Kitchen Cabinet Association (CKCA) and the Wood Manufacturing Council.
