Conference Schedule Now Live for 2024 Potato Expo

Charlottetown, PEI – Prince Edward Island is gearing up to welcome hundreds of potato industry professionals as preparations are well underway for the 2024 International Potato Technology Expo. North America’s largest potato technology event is set for February 22-23, 2024 at Charlottetown’s Eastlink Centre.

This exciting biennial event features a two-day conference, presented by the PEI Department of Agriculture & the PEI Potato Board, with presentations from international speakers. This conference will be offered on the mornings of both show days and will feature multiple presentations from the United Potato Growers of Canada.

The current list of confirmed presentations is as follows with more to be announced:

– Canadian Potato Market Update – Victoria Stamper, United Potato Growers of Canada
– American Potato Market Update – Mark Klompein, United Potato Growers of America
– Trends in the Agriculture Economy – Leigh Anderson, Farm Credit Canada

– Managing Foliar Fungicides in a High Pressure Year – Darin Gibson, Gaia Consulting, MB
– Combatting Resistance in Colorado Potato Beetles – Tracy Shinners-Carnelly, Peak of the Market, MB
– Looking for the Easy Wins from Digital Agriculture – Alex Melnitchouck, IntelMax Corp, AB
– Precision Agriculture Research Update – Aitazaz Farooque, University of PEI
