Moncton, NB – The return of Fish Canada Workboat Canada was a resounding success with over 7,000 industry buyers in attendance over the course of the two-day event. The Moncton Coliseum Complex was a commercial fishing hub this past weekend, January 19th and 20th where visitors made the trip from across New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island and beyond.

The building was filled with local and international exhibitors who showcased the latest technologies and services available to the commercial fisheries, fish processing, aquaculture, and other marine sectors. The quality of exhibitors was top tier, and they expressed their contentment towards the sales and connections made over the course of the weekend.

“We had truly an amazing turnout at this year’s edition,” said Shawn Murphy, Show Manager. “Exhibitors reported great conversations with visitors, and everything ran smoothly from the show team’s end. We couldn’t have asked for more.”

On Friday at the show, the Atlantic Canada Marine Industries Hall of Fame honored three new inductees. Congratulations to Glenn Cooke (Processor); Ruth Inniss (Builder), and the late Tony Carter (Mariner).

Congratulations to the winners of this year’s door prizes! Dale Wall took home a Hondex 121 Plotter Sounder Combo Unit courtesy of Atlantic Electronics Limited and Marie Gallant took home a Helly Hansen Apparel Prize Pack.

The show would not have been the same without our show partner, The Navigator Magazine.

Industry professionals can start getting excited for the Eastern Canadian Fisheries Exposition taking place in Yarmouth, January 17-18, 2025 at the Mariner’s Centre. All the details will be revealed at www.ecfx.ca.

The next edition of Fish Canada Workboat Canada will take place in 2026 at the Moncton Coliseum. Stay tuned to www.fcwc.ca or follow the show on Facebook for the most up to date information.
