Doors Open This Weekend at Halifax International Boat Show

Halifax, NS – Nova Scotia’s recreational boating community can get excited as the family-favourite Halifax International Boat Show sponsored by Aviva opens this weekend, February 1-4 at the Halifax Exhibition Centre! The Maritime’s top boat dealers will be on-site and displaying the season’s hottest runabouts, pontoons, cruisers, sailboats, motor yachts, fishing boats, inflatables, RIBS, personal watercraft and more. This event also showcases exhibits with the latest marine equipment, engines, outboard and inboard, marine electronics and accessories, docks, and dock builders.

“Move in has been going very smoothly here at Exhibition Park” says Scott Sprague, Event Manager. “The boat show is a staple for the boating community here in Nova Scotia and we’re excited to welcome everyone back this weekend.”

The show is also excited to bring back the popular seminar stage feature. On Friday and Saturday of the show, visitors can take in a FREE seminar on a variety of topics such Sharks, Oak Island Shipwrecks and Pirate Treasures and Adaptive Sailing. Visitors will also get the opportunity to learn more about the highly anticipated Rockwool Canada SailGP coming to Halifax this summer, with a special appearance from Team Canada’s Georgia Lewin-LaFrance. Parents are also encouraged to bring the kids and check out the Discover Centre’s ‘Discovery on Demand’ exhibit with Touch Tank, taking place on Saturday and Sunday from 11:00am – 4:00pm and visit the Mahone Bay Heritage Boatyard Co-op all weekend for a variety of family-friendly activities.

The Halifax International Boat Show Sponsored by Aviva is also excited to be collecting non-perishable food item during the four-day event as part of the “Fill the Boat” campaign. As a thank you for donating, visitors who bring a food donation will be given a ballot for a chance to win a two-person towable from Quartermaster Marine.

Tickets are available now and can be purchased online or at the door during the show hours. Purchasing tickets online automatically enters you in the draw for the chance to win the show’s door prize plus scan the QR code onsite for a second chance to win a Crewsaver Inflatable boat from Seamasters Marine Services. Regular adult admission is $12.00, Students & Seniors are $10.00, a Family pass is $30.00, and children under 12 are free of charge.
