Successful 2024 Edition for The Ottawa Boat and Outdoors Show

Ottawa, ONOttawa’s kickoff to spring event was a massive success this past weekend at the EY Centre as the Ottawa Boat and Outdoors Show took over for a full four days of recreational fun. Over 9000 visitors made the trip to explore everything the show had to offer, February 22-25.

“The energy throughout the building this weekend was contagious.” says Scott Sprague, Show Manager. “Our exhibitors made some impressive sales and lots of visitors went home with new toys and equipment for the upcoming season.”

Visitors had the opportunity to climb aboard models from the region’s top dealers:

The seminar stage was a hit once again this year as top outdoor personalities presented on a variety of topics including Ashley Rae, Big Jim McLaughlin, David Chong, Rob Argue, Sean Landsman, Peter Larmand, Greg Amiel, Lisa Goodier, Cara Carmichael, Lawrence Gunther, Jamie Pistilli, John Anderson, Rob Jackson and more. Other popular features included the interactive trials, casting pond and recruiting here component.

The show welcomed over 175 students who were introduced first-hand to some of the career opportunities that exist in both the boating/marine and trade show worlds. The students were brought on a tour of the event, had the chance to chat with recruiting exhibitors and got as personalized talk from Boating Ontario.

Visitors also had the opportunity to win many great prizes across the show. Congratulations to Bram Deal who won a 4-person Fishing Charter on Lake Ontario from Get It Wet Sportfishing, Johanne Arndt who won a pair of Demon’s Thunderbolt E-Bikes from Rockland Wheels and Tim Little who took home a 3000! ES Honda Generator, also courtesy of Rockland Wheels.
