Edmonton Boat & Sportsmen’s Show Wraps Up Highly Successful Edition

Edmonton, AB The Edmonton Boat and Sportsmen’s Show made an astounding return to the show floor last weekend at the Expo Centre. The region’s largest event for outdoor recreation held its 2024 edition, March 14-17.

“What a turnout this past weekend!” said Show Manager, Les Trendall “We seriously cannot thank our exhibitors and visitors enough for their commitment to this show, it’s always such a highlight of our year.”

Visitors were encouraged to check out the many interactive features the show has to offer:

    • The Kids Fishing Pond – managed by Edmonton Fish & Game
    • The National Archery in the Schools Program, (NASP), brought to you by AHEIA – Provincial School Archery Finals, which had over 2400 youth competetors.
    • The Alberta Hunter Education Instructors Association (AHEIA) taught outdoor skills and conservation, and are once again hosting the provincial NASP Archery finals!
    • Visitors were able to meet both show ambassadors: Wes David of Fishing The Wild Wes TV and Brody Teale of Non-Typical Nation
    • Safari Club International Northern AB Chapter –hosted Sensory Safari – an interactive and educational event for the family.
    • The Casting Pond presented by Out Fly Fishing
    • Calgary Reptile Parties had reptiles at the show!
    • Fly Tying – the Northern Lights Fly Fishers Club were on site all weekend long teaching all the fly-tying skills.
    • STACYC – brought an e-bike demo area – a place for the kids to try out the newest in STACYC e-bikes!
    • Trailrunners – Showcased their hunting dogs, put on demos all weekend long to demonstrate these dogs amazing skills!

WildTV brought back their fan-favorite Outdoor Stage where fans could meet local outdoors celebrities and watch free seminars to learn all the tips and tricks.

Visitors also had the chance to win many great prizes over the course of the weekend including:

  • The GRAND Prize – A Dog House RTT Wedge 1.0 Vehicle Tent from Overland Canada
  • A $2,000 gift certificate from Rapid Revolutions
  • A houseboating trip for 15 people, valued at $3700, provided by Twin Anchors
  • A trail camera from Reconeco
