New Glasgow, NS – Thousands of visitors on the hunt for products and services related to new home construction, renovations, remodels and home improvement projects flocked to the Pictou County Wellness Centre for the Pictou County Home Show, held this past weekend, March 24-26, 2017.

“We knew there was demand for a show of this type from talking to folks in the area when we were first exploring the possibility,” said Denise Miller, Senior Show Manager. “But we were blown away by the support the show received. Although the weather was a bit chilly, the facility was beautiful and we were so pleased with the fantastic content we were able to feature.”

With over 4,000 visitors, the first annual Pictou County Home Show was an unquestionable success!

The show was held in conjunction with the Stones RV Spring Forward Sales Event, held right under the same roof at the Pictou County Wellness Centre. One admission gave visitors access to both shows.

“We are extremely encouraged by the support for our first ever ‘Spring Forward’ RV event at the Pictou County Wellness Centre,” said Jonathan Stone, Stones RV & Home Centre. “We would like to thank the people of Pictou County and all over Nova Scotia for making this event a huge success. We are looking forward to growing this event to bigger and better heights for years to come!”

Feedback from all associated with the show was overwhelmingly positive, with exhibitors reporting solid leads and sales on the show floor.

“We feel the home show was a great success, promoting our business and development,” said Joyce Winmill, Winmill Electric Ltd. “The organizers were visible and always ready to help; professional, skilled people. It was a pleasure doing business with them, looking forward to a great future.”

“The Pictou County Home Show was a real success,” said Scott Sampson, Deck It Ltd. “We were privileged to have been able to attend and will definitely be back next year! It was a very well organized, professional event! Thanks again to the wonderful organizers and all the participants.”

“We had a great time at the show with an excellent response from customers – especially to our $5,000 Lennox heat pump draw,” said Judy O’Leary, Nova Scotia Power. “Our contractors also found it extremely productive as they walked away with a good amount of leads. The traffic was steady throughout the entire weekend and we are looking forward to participating again next year! There is nothing that could have made it any better!”

“For us, the show was very good with lots of people coming through our booth,” said Dave Holle, MacGillivray Fuels. “Set up and tear down was easy and accessible. The hours were good and overall we were very satisfied.”

Congratulations to Ken Briggs, winner of the show’s door prize. Ken has won a Haven Fire Safety Suppression Device, courtesy of Haven Fire Safety.

Many thanks are due to the show’s presenting sponsors, Classic Rock 97.9 and East Coast FM for their generous support, including pre-show and on-site promotion of this brand new event. Thanks also to MacGillivray Fuels and Trinity Maintenance Solutions Ltd. for sponsoring social media giveaways.
