Ottawa, ON – The Ottawa Boat Show swept into the EY Centre for its 44th edition this past weekend, with over 300 models on display and everything needed to prepare for the boating season ahead. Recreational boaters from across the region were there for an impressive display of the latest watercraft options on the market. Attendance was higher than average with over 9,000 attendees over the course of four days.

“By all counts, we can call this year a major success,” said Show Manager Scott Sprague. “Some exciting new attractions including free parking on Thursday and Friday really brought out visitors on those weekdays days that are typically less crowded. We saw a lot of families on Saturday for family day, and dealers were very pleased with the number of serious buyers out on the show floor throughout the event.”

More than 20 of the region’s top dealers were in attendance and reported strong sales at the show. With top brands and a vast array of gear and services all under one roof, there was something to offer for every type of boating enthusiast.

Highlights from this year’s edition included advice for boaters on the new Boating Seminar stage, Family Day sponsored by Pirate Cove Marina, expert advice on the Pro Fishing stage, a 40-foot live Megatank, and much more – from kid’s fishing lessons to model boat displays.
