Calgary, AB – Thousands of outdoor enthusiasts from across Alberta made the trip to the BMO Centre this past weekend for the 2024 edition of the Calgary Boat and Outdoors Show. The 3-day event was a huge success with lots of sales made across the show floor.
“We couldn’t have asked for a better crowd this weekend.” said Les Trendall, Show Manager. “Lots of visitors left having made new purchases for the upcoming outdoor season. We want to thank everyone who made the trip to explore the show.”
The show had lots of interactive family-friendly activities which were a huge hit with the kids including: EBike demos from STACYC, Reptile displays from Reptile Parties, K9 Retriever Trials from Trailrunners, a kid’s fishing pond and more!
One of the elements that visitors get particularly excited about are the fantastic prize opportunities. A HUGE THANK YOU to the exhibitors who donated. Stay tuned for the winners to be announced in the next couple days! Prizes included:
- BC Sportfishing Group and Harrison Hot Springs – GRAND PRIZE – An amazing Sturgeon Fishing Trip!
- Napier Outdoors – A tent outfitted for a truck or SUV – they gave away one prize PER DAY, so we will have three lucky winners!
- Twin Anchors – A vacation houseboat rental for 15 people!
- Canadian Board Company – Fantastic inflatable chair for the beach, on the dock, on the boat, so many uses!
The show would also like to extend a big thank you to our amazing seminar stage sponsor, WildTV! We would also like to thank AHEIA, Calgary Fish & Game and Sarcee Fish & Game for their contributions to the event.
AHEIA brings so many interactive displays and activities to the show for kids of all ages, they are an invaluable addition to our show. Also huge congrats to AHEIA this year because it is their 60th year as a not-for-profit organization in Alberta! The Fish & Game groups keep us connected with the local outdoors community, they bring so many local groups to the shows with them, and bring in volunteers to manage our kids pond all weekend, we appreciate them so much!
