Fredericton, NB – Get ready for inspiration, information and family fun this week at the Fredericton Home Show, taking place April 6-8 at Capital Exhibit Centre. For home projects of any size, indoors and out, the show homeowners trust will welcome thousands to see the latest and greatest trends on today’s market.

“I think we can almost say spring has sprung, and this time of year really inspires people to take a look at improving the appearance of their home,” says Denise Miller, Senior Show Manager. “Home shows are a trustworthy setting to compare ideas and advice from a variety of experts. Often, booking renovations or making purchases at the home show can save consumers money as well!”

This year’s show includes exhibitors showcasing everything from basic home improvements and maintenance projects, to major renovations and new construction. With all the region’s top service providers and retailers in one place, visitors will find unique, custom and cutting-edge products to help create their dream home.

The home show makes a great weekend plan for the family, with those 18 and under FREE when accompanied by an adult. Admission rates are $6 for adults and $4 for seniors (60+). Plus, on Friday afternoon between 12 noon and 5 pm, admission is half price! Tickets are available at the door.

There are a variety of special attractions happening as part of the show, including:

  • Tour a full-size, cutting-edge display cottage from Northrup Homes
  • Informative seminar sessions covering applicable topics including kitchen design, residential tenancies information, and how to hire a contractor
  • Service NB will have a booth for helpful advice on property assessments and other related topics
  • Hotchkiss will be hosting a prize giveaway of a queen size mattress and box spring (valued at $1,499)
  • Allstate Insurance Company of Canada will be doing a draw for a $250 Home Depot gift card and will also be giving out recyclable grocery bags at their booth.

Visitors to the show will also be able to fill out a ballot for their chance to win a Toro Snowblower courtesy of R.D. Pond! The SnowMaster 724 ZXR is valued at $1,029.99.

For many successful years, the home show has partnered with the Epsilon Service Y Club and again this year, a portion of the admission price goes directly to help the worthwhile charitable work they do in the area.
